Silverstone British Grand Prix 2003

A great day out at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix 2003. There was some great "racing" to be seen, which it has to be said has been lacking of late in Formula One, it looks like the new qualifying rules have finally shown how they can shake up the grid! Sadly, the day was marred by an incident at the very end of the day, this report is from F1 Racing Net

A driver taking part in a support race at the British Grand Prix died on Sunday after a heavy crash. David Heynes, 56, from Oxfordshire, was competing in the Historic Sportscar Challenge when he crashed his Lotus into a tyre wall at the Becketts Corner. He received treatment at the scene and at the circuit medical centre where he was pronounced dead.

My sincere condolences go to all David's friends and family.
